The US Securities and Exchange Commission has charged Nathan Fuller, a Cypress, Texas resident, with orchestrating a $12.3 million crypto investment fraud through his entities Privvy Investments LLC and Gateway Digital Investments. The scheme, which ran from October 2022 to mid-2024, allegedly promised investors returns as high as 100% in 21 days through purported AI-powered trading bots.

According to the complaint filed in the Southern District of Texas, Fuller's operation collected funds from 150 investors while falsely claiming to use arbitrage strategies across multiple cryptocurrency exchanges. The SEC asserts these trading bots never existed, with the operation displaying characteristics of a classic Ponzi scheme.
